A Richer Midrange, a Stronger Push

At the core of the AC15’s voice lies the EL84 power section and a critical detail: the way the phase inverter begins to distort as the amp is pushed. This adds subtle, musical harmonics that define the VOX sound, different from typical preamp gain. That signature character is all here, enhanced by the Celestion Greenback’s faster breakup and throatier midrange.

The amp’s power supply reproduces the original 1963 “sag” response, delivering natural compression and touch sensitivity without the noise or instability of vintage models. Every nuance in your playing translates through the Greenback’s dynamic response, from glassy cleans to saturated British roar.

Two Channels. One Classic Voice

● Normal Channel: Delivers warm, thick tones with a Bright switch for added clarity.

● Top Boost Channel: Classic VOX chime and drive, now with slightly tamed highs for more control.

Unique to the AC15 in this series, the BOOST switch increases gain and adds a rich, midrange growl that pushes the Greenback speaker beautifully. Whether clean or cranked, this amp stays harmonically rich and expressive under your fingers.

Lush Tube-Driven Spring Reverb

The onboard spring reverb is powered by its own dedicated tube circuit, with a separate output transformer to ensure proper impedance. The result is a rich, present reverb that blends smoothly with your tone, controlled via Level and Tone knobs and footswitchable for easy bypass.

Transparent FX Loop for Modern Rigs

The FET-buffered effects loop is designed for transparency, preserving your core tone while integrating delay, reverb, and modulation pedals cleanly, even when the amp is pushed. And when not needed, it can be fully bypassed for a direct signal path.
